Another new page on the blog!
As part of my New Year’s resolution, I have been doing some research about orchids that are native to Britain. It is interesting reading, but to cram it all into one post will not do my research any justice. So instead, there will be a series of blog posts covering as much information as I can.
Over the coming months, I am hoping to track down some of the UK’s native orchids, and share some information about them as I go. To save time searching for any posts relevant to this subject, I have created a new category on my blog now – ‘Native British Orchids’, so anything relevant to this subject will be added here.
On the Native British Orchid page itself, I have included a link to the Wildlife Trust’s guide on where to spot these beautiful plants. There is also a link to the Hardy Orchid Society that specialise in native British orchids; their website has lots of useful information and you can set up a membership with them too.
I hope that you get as much enjoyment out of learning about our native species as much as I have. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a comment.
